I just got back from the Annual VPA State Snowboard Coach’s Meeting up in Montpelier and man oh man doe we have lots of new and exciting things in store! Here are just a few :
– Suicide 6 is installing two new terrain parks a large investment has been to do the right job – folks responsible for setting up the KParks will be on site with me tomorrow for the walk through
– Border Cross as an exhibition possibly adopted as a full VPA recognized Snowboard Category in 2021
– Rail Jam as an exhibition possibly adopted as a full VPA recognized Snowboard Category in 2021
– New Timing for all events which means will know the winners before the day is over, I’m working on an awards ceremony at the end of the day for winners
 – and more!
Regarding the parents and team meeting: The school will be hosting a Winter Sports event on November 12th 6:00PM for parents in the gym then moving to room 21 (Coach Smith’s new room)  I encourage everyone to attend, parents and athletes alike, because there are many details to discuss.  On top of the list will be a discussion in regards to fundraising… team members and parents volunteer for some fund raising events and to help me set up and run our GS at Suicide in February.

Our first practice (dryland), by VPA rule is after December 2nd, we will start December 4TH
